I wish you good luck by practicing this useful meditation. Follow these simple steps to a better you…

Look for a quiet place; one you will not be disturbed in.

With your back straight, sit down on a mat, or on the floor. You’re recommended to put your body in a position that you feel relaxing and comfortable. Now, please try to calm yourself down and “forget” your physical body for a while.

Slightly close your eyes. Now, gradually lift your closed eyes to a 10 to 15 angle. Imagine that you’re looking up through the bridge in your nose, between your eyebrows. At this stage, you should feel relaxed and comfortable. Don’t try to strain your eyes, because then you will be unable to slow down your brainwave activity.

Try breathing deeply. Repeat breathing in deep for 4-6 times. Now, calm your soul down gradually. Start inhaling slowly with your nose, and keep exhaling via your mouth. Repeat inhaling and exhaling for 3-5 times. It should make you feel better and comfortable.

Watch your breathing by observing your pulse. It should be at a slower more relaxed rate. Your breathing should regulate your mind accordingly. When you slow down your breathing, you’ll at the same time slow down your thinking. Now, imagine you’re surrounded by a diverse species of green plants in the thick forest with a gentle sunlight shining through. Next, imagine there is a sky blue ocean, gradually clearing your thoughts and lifting confusion, stress, depression and agonies from within, imagine you’re casting these like rubbish deep into the ocean. Following this act, imagine you’re now surrounded by a mist of your favorite colored light and breathe it deeply into your lungs.

Cause your body beginning from your cells, muscles, organs and systems to relax. When you feel you’ve relaxed your entire body, send a warm relaxing starts from the scalp down to each area of your body, moving slowly from your head down to your feet. You’re recommended to take 5-10 minutes to thoroughly keep moving the relaxing message throughout your body.

Now, concentrate your attention to the following areas: tongue, mouth, neck, hands, legs and feet. These are the dominant areas where most people hide their tension and stress. Begin relaxing your tongue by pressing it against the roof of your mouth, and gradually bring it back to the center, a place where your tongue should stay at. After that, saying in your heart “all my cells, tissues and muscles dwell in perfect peace profound, my kingdom is here and found” for three times while delivering stress from your neck, shoulders, lower back, hands, legs and feet in sequence respectively.

At this stage, your mind is in a peaceful state and being altered by you. You should now feel very heavy, euphoric or/ and light. When you feel you’re completely calmed down and relaxed, do one of the three things below or all the three things below:

a) Drift into silence or/and

b) Visualize what you want or/and

c) Pray: You can ask help, guidance, healing or direction from God. In this case, say to yourself, “God guides me, God heals me, God provides me strength, God protects me, and God perfects me.” Start thinking “I’m dwelling in a healing light surrounded by angels and supported by God. God has thrown my stress and agonies away and I’m now in a better future for myself.”

Lastly, get ready to take a deep breath. As you’re exhaling through your nose, mentally alert your brain by saying to yourself, “I’m going to count from one to five, and when I finish counting, I’ll return to my real life from my meditation, feeling rejuvenated, energized, restored, full of vitality, relaxed, peaceful, blessed, grateful, and feeling great. Now, count from one to ten silently, open up your eyes slowly, stretch your body a bit, and give yourself 5-10 minutes to familiarize your present surroundings.

Congratulations! You’re done!

Final remark:

By doing this meditation correctly, you feel the power and beauty of your soul, God and nature which help cultivate personal peace and calmness via self empowerment. When you’re being awakened and become conscious by reconnecting yourself to the strength of your spirit, soul, nature and God, it will definitely add richness to your personal experience and a healthy lifestyle.

Chan, you are forever a source of wonderful information. I will have to try these meditation techniques! Thanks so much!

Interesting article and great advice but I am not sure that it works for everyone. Though I find floating on my back in water allows me to zone out and become relaxed.

Thanks Chan for this article, we do need this from time to time.

Great information

I have been doing some reading on yoga and meditation. I don't think I can get in the positions for yoga but the meditation would be better for me. I wish I had started when I was younger with the yoga. All them stretching moves would be great for your body. Sometimes I do have to take very long breaths just to release some stress. Very helpful article.

I'm adding this to my favorites for daily use. Excellent indeed!

Wow, that really helped me find my own inner peace.

Very well done tips my friend. Mind control is an essential part of one's being. Not about controlling other's thinking but one's mind of all other things.

Excellent.
